No reaction. Not even a blink of those coal black eyes as you keep your blank expression and dark irises trained on the page of that god forsaken book in front of you. All you do is read.

I talk. You read. I get frustrated. You don't care.

I wish you would. I wish you'd see me, desperate for some sort of attention but I get none.

I should have walked away by now. You'd like that wouldn't you? But my heart keeps me here, because the stupid thing's in love with you. You'd think something like that might grab you're attention. Like this, "I love you."

… Still nothing. Those eyes just keeps skimming, those long, sleek, pale fingers turn the paper pages, and you continue to stare at the ink words. Obviously my spoken ones aren't as important.

Is there something wrong with me? Am I too toned? Too tanned? Too blond?!

What is it?

Why don't you look at me?

So many questions and I know you won't answer them because I'm not important enough to react to. I'm just me. Just Naruto. But you're not just Sasuke to me. You're so much more than that. You're the reason I'm here, the reason I want to be anywhere.

But I've had enough. Enough of you ignoring me, thinking I'm worthless.

So I listen as the room goes silent apart from my chair clattering to the floor. I watch as you don't pay attention but you will. I grin as your eyes lift to me in confusion when I take your face between my hands and make you look at me and only me. And I finally melt as our lips touch and you kiss me back.

"So that's how I get you to acknowledge me," my smirk is amused and happy and you're still in shock but you're looking at me.

"Idiot," the sound is sweet, because I'm here looking at you and I'll make sure you keep looking at me too.
